The West Gate Tunnel is a partnership between the Victorian Government and Transurban. The Joint Venture has been chosen as the contractor for construction, which began in early 2018 following planning assessment. 

About the Project

The West Gate Tunnel Project is a city-shaping project that will deliver a vital alternative to the West Gate Bridge, provide quicker and safer journeys, and remove thousands of trucks off residential streets. The project will include:

• Widening the West Gate Freeway from eight lanes to 12 between the M80 Ring Road and Williamstown Road;
• Building a 2.8km eastbound tunnel and a 4km westbound tunnel under Yarraville;
• Constructing a bridge over the Maribyrnong River providing an alternative to the West Gate Bridge;
• Constructing an elevated road along Footscray Road to the Port of Melbourne;
• Major new cycling and pedestrian paths.

Your Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced ME&I Systems Coordinator to provide technical expertise for engineering database population, auditing and task execution in order to support ME&I commissioning.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Populate the Completion and Commissioning management System with Commissioning work lots and test activities.
• Digitise construction and commissioning documentation, by creating and modifying task models, both ITRs and ITPs.
• Create and maintain handover certificates to allow handover between commissioning phase and between Project Zones
• Troubleshoot – Identify, address, and resolve any issues or discrepancies and provide responses to user queries.
• Collaborate with Digital Systems manager to create reporting dashboards for tracking of completion of Construction and Commissioning ITRs
• Provide backend support for Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) to update and maintain ITS requirements and Derived requirements.
• Track M&E design changes and identify impact to ITS derived requirement
• Assist Digital System Manager to maintain Engineering database and identify to Engineering Leads the required engineering data changes required to retain currency of information

To be successful in this role, we are looking for:

• Digital system delivery experience or equivalent Tertiary qualification
• Highly proficient computer skills and a knowledge of relevant software such as Hexagon, ALM, Maximo and Power BI
• Advanced attention to detail coupled with the ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
